Here we are again at the start of the end, as it were.  Another great year is winding down, with less than a month to go before we start making champagne toasts and resolutions. Before I start thinking about next year, though, let’s take a moment to reflect on 2024.

They say that the only thing that stays the same is change, and we in the industry are keenly aware of that. As we look back on 2024, it’s clear this year has been one of triumphs, challenges, and unforgettable moments for all of us at Nexion. At the heart of our success has been you—our dedicated travel advisors—who have continued to deliver exceptional service and inspire consumer confidence in travel. Your passion and expertise have not only shaped incredible journeys for your clients, but also solidified our reputation as an industry leader. Together, we’ve achieved so much, and I’m excited to celebrate this year’s milestones with you.

One of our standout achievements was CoNexion 2024 in New Orleans. Despite the challenges posed by the weather, this year’s CoNexion was the biggest and best we’ve ever hosted. Your resilience in adapting to last-minute changes and your enthusiasm for connecting with peers was especially inspiring this year. Thank you for making it such a success!

This year also marked a bittersweet moment for Nexion-Canada as we bid farewell to our beloved Mike Foster, who is leaving the Nexion team after decades of dedicated service. Mike has been a steadfast leader, guiding Nexion-Canada to new heights with his wisdom, wit, and deep commitment to our advisors. Under his leadership, Nexion-Canada has flourished, and his legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire us all. Furthermore, as a born-and-raised Canadian myself, I’m honored to be stepping into a leadership position for Nexion-Canada, and honored still to have Esther Roemmele, my colleague of many years, joining me as the Director of Canada Operations.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, we also recognize the challenges we’ve overcome together. The travel industry has always faced unpredictable hurdles, but your adaptability and determination have been key to clearing them as they come. Your creativity in navigating changes and your unwavering commitment to your clients’ travel dreams have been nothing short of extraordinary. I am constantly in awe of the way you all embody the spirit of Nexion Travel Group.

As we prepare to welcome 2025, and Nexion’s 30^th anniversary as the leading host agency, I encourage you to reflect on the growth, connections, and successes we’ve shared this year. Together, we have proven that no obstacle is insurmountable when we work as a team. Thank you for your passion, your partnership, and your trust. Here’s to an even brighter year ahead!
