Love Your Business Again

February is the month we celebrate love. And while there’s always plenty of focus on romantic getaways and couples’ travel this time of year, I’d like to shift the spotlight somewhere just as important—your relationship with your business.

You didn’t become a travel advisor by accident. You chose this industry because you believe in experiences – in the power of travel to change lives. You chose it for flexibility, for independence, for ownership. Somewhere along the way—between supplier contracts, client revisions, invoicing systems, and late-night emails—it’s easy to lose sight of that original spark.

Wave Season is exhilarating, but it can also be exhausting. February is the perfect moment to pause and ask yourself: Do I still love the way I’m running my business? Am I still just as in love with my business as when I started this journey?

Loving your business doesn’t mean loving every task. It means being intentional about what stays and what goes. It might mean refining your niche so you’re working with clients who energize you. It might mean setting clearer boundaries around your time. It might mean investing in technological tools that make your workflow smoother. Or it might simply mean remembering why you started in the first place.

The most successful advisors I know aren’t just good at selling travel—they’re thoughtful about building a business around the life they want to live. They revisit their goals regularly. They release clients who aren’t a good fit. They say ‘yes’ strategically. They protect their time and value their own expertise.

This month, I encourage you to “love on” your business a little more. Review what’s working, and be honest about what’s draining you. Identify one change that would make your day-to-day operations more joyful, more profitable, or more sustainable—and take action on it.

At Nexion, our role is to support you in building a business you’re proud of. One that grows. One that adapts. One that reflects your strengths. But the vision for that business starts with you.

Fall back in love with why you chose this path. When you lead with clarity and purpose, your clients feel it. Your partners see it. And your success reflects it.

Here’s to building businesses we don’t just run—but truly love.
