Gratitude for the Whole Year, Not Just the Season

Gratitude for the Whole Year, Not Just the Season
As we move through November towards the end of another year, the air cools, the days shorten, and our thoughts turn toward gratitude. This is one of my favorite times of the year—not just because I love a good slice of pumpkin pie (and I truly do), but because Thanksgiving invites us to pause, reflect, and recognize the many gifts woven into our lives and our work. And in this industry, we have so much to be thankful for.
First and foremost, I am deeply grateful for you, our members. I know I say it every year, but it’s never any less true. Every day, you bring so much passion and tenacity to an industry that’s constantly reshaping itself around changing times. You advocate for your clients, you adapt when challenges arise, and you continually invest in your craft. Your dedication is the heartbeat of our community, and I’m humbled by the trust you place in us to support your journey as advisors and entrepreneurs.
I’m also thankful for the remarkable collaboration we share with our supplier partners. Their commitment helps us shape the experiences we deliver to travelers worldwide. In a year with its fair share of uncertainty, our suppliers have stepped up with flexibility, clarity, and steadfast partnership—proof that when this industry aligns, it becomes unstoppable.
Travel remains one of the most resilient, optimistic, and human-centered fields you can hope to be in. It’s an industry built on curiosity, connection, and possibility. Whatever new disruptions arise, travelers continue to seek discovery—and travel advisors continue to guide them with expertise and care. For that, I am endlessly grateful.
This season also gives us an opportunity to appreciate the small, everyday moments: the thank-you email from a client who just had the trip of a lifetime, the supplier rep who goes the extra mile, the colleague who shares a tip that transforms your workflow, the new advisor who finds confidence in their first big sale. These moments may not make headlines, but they are the moments that make our work meaningful.
As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I hope you find time to reflect on all the victories—big and small—that brought you here. I hope you feel the pride of being part of a profession that enriches lives. And I hope you carry that sense of gratitude forward as we prepare for a bright year ahead.
From my table to yours, thank you for being part of the Nexion family. Wishing you a warm holiday season filled with an abundance of joy! And if that one difficult relative we all have tries to disrupt the joy around the family table this year, just remember, you deal with disruptions like a professional all the time. You’ve got this.
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
