Essentials is a five-day Nexion Travel Group program designed to give the travel agent who is NEW to the industry the skills and knowledge necessary to research and book all aspects of travel for their clients.

This program is the ticket to experiencing discussion and hands-on practice that will turn a client’s request into specific, informed actions. We will examine the journey of a booking all the way from the initial research stage to the actual booking process and, finally, how to work with the client after they return from their trip. It also provides guidance on how to manage the relationship with clients throughout the process.

PLEASE READ:  VIRTUAL Essentials events are a 4.5-day version of the below agenda. What is the difference between LIVE or VIRTUAL? All VIRTUAL events will start at 10 AM central time and end at 5 PM central each day with the exception of Friday ending at 3 PM central. Please plan accordingly so you can attend ALL of the sessions.

Some content and activities have been revised for the sake of time. All of the basics are there with the same great energy, more Nexion staff presenters, and room for more supplier partners presenting than at a live event!

Rates:
2025- $169.00 per night weekday and $115 per night weekend on double or single occupancy. The rate is commissionable at 10% and should be available in SNAP or by phone with the hotel as Nexion Preferred Rate.

CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

  • This training is geared for the travel agent who is NEW to the industry.
  • Bring your own laptop. You’ll use your laptop to access all the tools you’ll be learning about. myNexion is compatible with most browsers including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox, though some functions will have to be used with Internet Explorer.
  • Make sure you have WiFi capability on your laptop. We will give you the password to access our WiFi when you arrive.
  • Ensure you have working knowledge of your laptop PRIOR to arriving to class.
  • Obtain necessary supplier logins at least two weeks prior to class and ensure they are tested on the laptop computer you are bringing.
  • All course material will be made after you have attended the event in Nexion University inside the Roadmap to Success.
